CPSC TO DEMO DANGERS WITH CONSUMER AND PROFESSIONAL FIREWORKS AT PRESS CONFERENCE ON THE NATIONAL MALL Fireworks may be a staple for family 4th of July celebrations, but the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is urging consumers to only use legal fireworks and to use them safely. This year, CPSC is warning that a large number of deaths associated with fireworks are related to consumers using professional devices. This year's demonstration will feature a graphic reenactment of an actual incident where a man was killed while setting off professional fireworks. At a news conference to be held on the National Mall, CPSC Acting Chairman Nancy Nord leads a federal push to reduce injuries and deaths associated with all fireworks. CPSC releases new injury and death data, and tips for celebrating safely this holiday. Joining Acting CPSC Chairman Nord will be Chief Charlie Dickinson, Acting Assistant Administrator for U.S. Fire Administration and Lewis Raden, Assistant Director for Enforcement Programs and Services with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. They do not do that. That is thin plywood that looks like it was all balancing on each other, or at the very most held together with some tape or putty. It is all to scare people.

Uh... Where the hell did you guys just pick up M80s and M1000s for this video. I think an investigation is in order. Was the proper paperwork filed? Were they transported according to DOT standards? Were they stored in an approved magazine prior to use? Did they guy lighting the fuse have a high explosive users permit? Or is it OK for YOU to break the law making videos because you are trying to save OTHERS . What a bunch of hypocrites.

The "safe" fireworks displays didn't look like they were much fun.

They did this next to traffic, rather than on a bomb range, so obviously they're not terribly worried.
